5-1/2” barrel in 9mm caliber. Offered is an extremely fine condition all original Broomhandle Mauser that has the date 1920 stamped on left side of slide. This was in compliance to the Versailles Treaty. Most of these 1920 dated guns were reworked and the barrels shortened. This pistol remains in its original as-manufactured configuration. Has all matching numbers. This was issued to a police unit after the First World War, stamped in front of the magazine “I. 57”. Has the Mauser factory stamp on top barrel flat as well as the Oberndorf stamped on right side of frame. Near mint pair of serrated walnut stocks with a red ‘9’ and lanyard ring. German proofs on barrel, straw fire blue color on extractor, barrel has some thinning on left and right sides with some overall minor high edge wear. Still retains 85%-90% of the original blue finish throughout. An extremely fine example of a 1920 police issue Broomhandle in 9mm caliber.
