The first is a brass double barrel, double hammer, .38 caliber percussion. Hammers are numbered 17. Light engraving on sideplate. Barrel is numbered 17. Has an iron engraved trigger guard, double triggers, bag handle. Working order. Barrels are 3" with no visible rifling. Brass has been cleaned. Wood is coarse. The second gun appears to be gunsmith made utilizing an old rifle. It has a tip-up loading system for a pinfire cartridge. 7-7/8" octagon barrel, .70 bore, with no visible rifling. Barrel appears to be cut down rifle barrel. Has a small checkered walnut forend with pin retainer. Has a double trigger, front trigger releases barrel. All metal is in the white with an old coat of varnish. Buttstock is handmade using two pieces of wood to make the handle. Brass pommel and sling swivel. Interesting gun to say the least.
