5” barrel in .45 ACP. Manufactured 1944. Offered is a standard World War II frame manufactured by Remington Rand and stamped “U.S. Property Model 1911-A1”. Left side of frame has the “F.J.A.” (Frank Atwood June 1942 to March1946) inspector mark. Has the “SA” Springfield Arsenal rebuild stamp on right side of frame. “G” code stamped inside frame. Slide has the “P” on top. The old style Colt slide with pony in center. Has the short checkered trigger, checkered hammer without spurs, serrated slide stop, serrated safety, serrated arched mainspring housing. Barrel has “MP” stamped on left lug. Top of barrel stamped “.45 Auto 7791193”. “SW” stamped on right lug. Clean bore. Solid blue magazine stamped “Colt .45 Auto”. Replacement Keyes type brown plastic grips No. 5564062 and 4063. Typical World War II rebuild using mixed parts. Comes with a Boyt holster. Gun retains approximately 90% of the reapplied military matte finish.
