Comprising: 1) Officer’s tunic of navy blue wool with stand-up collar, fuchsia front and cuff facings, the collar and sleeve facings embroidered in bullion wire. Fringed and embroidered epaulettes. Silver-finished small WATERLOO buttons with the Sphinx on front [one sleeve button missing]. 2) Fuchsia flannel trousers, with bullion tape stripe down side with suspender buttons at top. 3) Suspenders. 4) Buff leather sword belt with lion head terminals and snake type connector. 5) Black leather giberne with dealer label, silver lid [with hallmarks] and strap embroidered with bullion tape. Also included are two “prickers” on the giberne strap with chain lanyards. All showing wear and scattered moth damage. Both utilized in the Savoy Opera production by Gilbert and Sullivan, Ruddigore.
