26" barrel in .30-30 caliber. Offered is a standard Marlin Model 1893 rifle with lots of original condition. Features full octagon barrel; full magazine; German silver knife blade front sight; Marlin sporting leaf rear sight; case colored frame, hammer, and lever; and walnut stocks. This rifle has the S-curve buttplate and Marlin bullseye. Barrel and tube retain approximately 90% plus original factory blue finish with razor sharp edges and legends, with a couple of areas of light age freckling. The frame retains approximately 75%-80% of the original case colors, most of which is still brilliant with much original varnish. The frame screws retain the majority of their factory blue finish, as does loading gate. Nice traces of color on sides of lever. Tang is stamped "Marlin Model 93" and there is a factory star that indicates return to factory. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal with no cracks and only the usual minor abrasions. Buttplate has turned patina. Action is perfect. Strong bore with light corrosion. Even the forend tip retains approximately 60% original blue finish.
