26” barrel in .38-55 caliber. Manufactured 1897. This lovely rifle is a true deluxe model. Special features include pistol grip capped checkered deluxe fiery grain walnut stock with rifle butt. Features full round barrel, full magazine, sporting front sight, spirit level rear sight (glass missing) and a tang sight. The barrel and tube are a pleasing mix of brown patina with flashes of blue. Left side of frame retains approximately 20% original factory blue, balance soft patina with the right side about the same. Flashes of color on sides of hammer and lever. Very good to excellent original stocks are proud to metal. Checkering is still somewhat sharp. Butt -stock exhibits beautiful flame grain. Forearm has a 1-3/4” x 1/8” expertly repaired sliver. Fine action. Nice clean strong rifled bore. Very handsome and early deluxe Model 1894 in great caliber.
