22" barrel in .45-70 caliber. Manufactured in 1911. This extra lightweight Takedown rifle features the rapid taper barrel, half magazine, and the Winchester logo rubber shotgun buttplate. Other features include white bead sporting front sight, Winchester flat top sporting rear sight, blue finish, walnut stocks. The frame has softened to a gun metal patina. Barrel retains approximately 20% blue, the balance softened to a blue-brown patina. Tube retains 75% blue. Forend cap and takedown ring are brown-grey patina. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with no cracks, only the usual minor bumps and dings. Small Roman numeral 'XI' on base (1911). Strong rifled bore with minor abrasion. Fine action. Nice all original extra lightweight rifle in popular .45 caliber.
