A representative example of a payout horse race machine that was quite attractive for the time and quite a money maker for the operator as well. Distributed by H.C. Evans, a 1934 billboard page is included picturing the Saratoga Sweepstakes and The Darby. The premise being you would select a horse, #1-7, put a nickel in the slot, and activate the mechanism. If you won you got an automatic payout of 5 nickels. The machine is in very fine, original condition.
