Another late 19th century coin op horse race machine, included with this lot is an original flyer from 1890 from the Bedrock Cigar Company picturing this machine. This machine is designed to work on a penny, but could have easily been converted to nickel usage. The standard “cake dome” glass was employed to cover the race track & horses, and the sides have a stamped daisy pattern on the tin. On the underside is a round trap where the operator retrieved his money, using a hook with eyelet.
