Perhaps one of the earliest penny drops, from August 1893. This obscure company from Pasadena, California manufactured this type machine for use in general stores, cigar stores and hotels. Players could win one, two or five cigars for a penny. A fully segregated cash box guaranteed the integrity of employees not to give away cigars for unwarranted wins. The cabinet is constructed of walnut & the cash box is secured by a protruding eyelet at rear of machine with an AMCO padlock and key.
Condition: (Very Good).
