Barrel length is 4-3/4”. Caliber is .44-40. Manufactured in 1888. This is your standard six shot single action .44 revolver. Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, butt. Gun is basically a cleaned gray brown patina. Has full front sight. Has strong two line barrel address. Colt Frontier Six Shooter stamped on left side of barrel. Frame has three line patent. Replaced/refinished one piece walnut grips are excellent, but shy to metal. Has four Colt clicks. Indexes and locks up perfectly. This revolver features the early style screw in retainer. Has a strong clean rifle bore, fine unmarred screws. Has .44 CAL stamped on left trigger bow. Handsome early gun.
