Barrel length is 7-1/2”. Caliber is .36 percussion. This is a late post- war model manufactured in 1870. The frame and barrel have matching numbers while the trigger guard and back strap are number 125113. Cylinder is number 82909 and bares only faint traces of Naval scene. Top of barrel has New York address. All edges of octagon barrel have rounded out. Brass sight blade has been set in. Wedge is not numbered. One piece walnut grips are very good but shy to metal, having been refinished. All metal surfaces are brown patina. Indexes fine. Strong bore with usual abrasions. Several of the screws are marred. Visible Colt stamp on left side of frame.
