27" barrel in .22 LR caliber. This rifle was purchased from the CMP and remains in near new, as manufactured and shipped condition. Remington manufactured these rifles for the U.S. military. The frame is stamped "U.S." on left side. Left side of barrel has inspector marks with "52" on left side. Top of barrel is stamped "M541X Target". Has the globe front sight and Williams adjustable target receiver sight. No provision for rear barrel sight. Has pistol grip walnut stock, sling swivels with adjustment bar on forend, and Remington black composite buttplate. Magazine fed. Comes in the original CMP shipping box with original instructions and bag from bolt assembly. This rifle was delivered on May 14, 1999.
