24" barrel in caliber .30-06. Desirable all original World War II sniper rifle manufactured by Remington. Features the offset receiver stamps to allow use of the Redfield mounts and the Weaver Model 330 scope. The mounts and bolt retain virtually all of their green tint parkerized finish. Safety is stamped "R". Has the proper scalloped swept bolt. Barrel is dated 8-43 and stamped "RA" with bomb. No front sight. The parkerized pressed barrel bands, forend tip, trigger guard, and floor plate with the checkered steel buttplate with smooth trapdoor. Supports the pistol grip C stock, left side of stamped "RA". and "F.J.A." is faint. Left side of stock is stamped "RIA EB" in box, which is post World War II rework and inspection mark. Has a block "P" in a circle at wrist, and several inspector marks at forend flat. Gun remains in near mint condition, retaining virtually all of the arsenal finish. The blued scope retains 60% original finish. ME reading of one with a fine shiny bore. This is a beautiful high condition original World War II A4 sniper rifle that was inspected after the war and untouched since.
