20" barrel in .38-40 WCF caliber. Manufactured in 1908. Standard Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine features post front sight, folding carbine Winchester rear sight, full magazine, blued finish, walnut stock, carbine buttplate. Barrel and tube are a pleasing mix of blue-brown-grey patina with sharp legends. Frame is a blue-brown patina with some added wiped on finish. No color on lever, has had finish added as well. Saddle ring and stud are missing. Wood is excellent, proud to metal, and has been refinished to near mint condition. Strong rifled bore with minor abrasion. Perfect action.
