Barrel length is 10", caliber is .44 percussion. This fine matching pair of smooth bore duelers is attributed to Ferluch Austria. Pistols are not marked with the exception of the numbers 941 & 942 stamped into the wood at base of front grip strap. They feature blued full octagon barrels with fully matted ribs, Austrian touch mark on flat, engraved tang, case colored back lock actions with fine engraving on both plate and hammer. They have engraved cased colored trigger guard and grip straps as well as the butt and swivel. Stocks features hand carved fluted handles with leaf pattern engraving at nose. Barrels are retains by a single wedge with escuchen that are case colored and engraved. Both pistols retain virtually all original finish. This set comes in an older wooden set box with French cut green velvet lined holder with three wooden parts boxes and iron bullet mold, a wooden mallet, wood handle cleaning rod and a small powder flask made of copper. Lovely early dueling set, perfect working order.
