26" barrel in .30 WCF caliber. This rifle was manufactured between 1900 and 1915. Has an S-curve buttplate and no bullseye. Standard features include full octagon barrel, full magazine, blued finish, knife blade front sight, sporting rear, walnut stocks. Case colored frame, lever and hammer have traces of color but have basically greyed-out. Stock is excellent, proud to metal, but has been refinished. Forearm is original finish with no cracks or chips. There is some hammer marks at locking lug of frame takedown. Barrel and tube have 70-80% original blue, starting to plum with razor sharp edges and legends. Tang is stamped "Model 1893". Fine action. Strong rifled bore with minor abrasion. Nice early Marlin takedown.
