24" barrel in .348 WCF caliber. This standard rifle was manufactured in 1940; the last of the pre-wars. Features full round barrel, half magazine, ramp front sight with hood, sporting rear sight, blued finish, walnut stocks, pistol grip, fluted comb, checkered steel buttplate, and factory sling swivels in stock and cap. The forend cap has turned patina, as has the magazine cap. Light muzzle wear, some wear to hood, right side of barrel has thinned just a bit, otherwise retains 95% original blue. Frame retains most of the original blue with some light high edge wear. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with original finish and some normal bumps and bruises. Fine bore and action. Overall very nice lightly used pre-war Model 71.
