Brass handled small sword, with etched blade, figural grip, blade lightly stained and no scabbard. This appears to be a very early fine blade sword. Etched on the upper portion of the blade, 9" to hilt. Has the brass butterfly wing handguard with solid cast handle and pommel. No maker can be found. Blade ahs some toning and pitting. Brass has aged. D guard has a man's figure on left and right in a neo-classical pose. Appears to date 16th-17th century.
