Gun A: Model 43, hammerless, takedown, manufactured 1922-1930, serial #6247, 12 bore, 30" barrel, full choke, blued finish, pistol grip walnut stock, Marlin black composite butt plate and grooved forend. Barrel retains 60% original blue as does the tube, balance patina. Frame has 75-80% original blue. Stocks excellent with no cracks, shiny bore, fine action. Gun B: Grade A, exposed hammer, Model 1898 takedown, manufactured 1898 to1905, serial # 85698, barrel stamped "95524M", 16 bore, 28" barrel, choked improved, barrel and tube have traces of blue mixed with silver and brown patina, frame retains 70% blue, pistol grip walnut butt stock with Marlin composite butt plate with no cracks, forearm has two brass period repairs, perfect bore and fine action.
