Both are 12 bore, take down, blued finish with plain pistol grip walnut stock and grooved forearms. Gun A: Serial #809669, manufactured 1931, has a 30” barrel, 2-3/4” chamber, full choke, fine bore and action. Excellent stocks with minor finish loss and bruises. Original Winchester black composite butt plate. Extremely clean, retains 80-85% original blue finish mixing with smooth rich patina. Perfect markings. Gun B: Serial #986165, manufactured in 1953, has the flat bottom forend, 28” barrel, modified choke, barrel is a mix blue brown patina with freckling, 70% blue on frame, silvered out on bottom, high edge wear, very good stock with no cracks but has a chip at the toe, good bore and action. Nice pair of Winchester Model 1897s.
