Both rifles are chambered for the .30-40 Krag cartridge and have blued finish, 28” barrels and walnut stocks. The first rifle is serial No. 58429 manufactured in 1908. This rifle has an extra set of holes at rear of frame for peep sight. Retains virtually all of the re-applied blue finish. Has been restocked in American walnut and checkered. Action is fine. Strong rifling. The second gun is a rare, early flat side with serial No. 3956 manufactured 1896. The barrel and frame retain approximately 85% of the re-applied blue finish mixed with patina. Has a replacement walnut forend. Original stock has been refinished to match. Strong rifled bore. Perfect action.
