Very good bore and action. The second gun is a Model 1884 Springfield Trapdoor rifle. 29-3/4" barrel in caliber .45-70. This is referred to as a Cadet rifle with the shorter barrel. This is the second type with one piece trigger guard. All metal is a grey patina. Wood is very good but dried out. Has a visible Sam Porter 1892 cartouche. Has the wrong cleaning rod (does not fit). Strong rifled bore and fine action.
