Comprised of: 1) French heavy cavalry sabre has a 37-3/4” straight blade saber with two fullers. “Regiment der Gardes du Corps”, floral and horse head etched on one side of blade. Left side has 24 cavalrymen on horses, bugler, and an officer with drawn sabre surrounded by floral etchings. Brass four bar hilt with wire wrapped fish skin grip. Black painted scabbard with single hanging ring and drag. Scabbard has small dent and paint lose. 2) Unknown Cavalry sabre has a 35-1/2” straight blade with one fuller. “Xnfiel 1849” etched on blade edge. Three bar steel hilt with wire wrapped fish skin grip. Heavy rust at end of blade, pitting, several nicks on blade.
