Caliber is .338 Winchester magnum, barrel length is 25”, serial number is L6968. Offered is an early Safari grade Belgium manufactured Mauser action, bolt action high power rifle. This rifle was introduced in 1959 and manufactured to 1966. Rifle features blued finish with a highly figured oil finish, checkered walnut stock with checkered steel pistol grip cap, sling eyes, straight comb, roll over cheek piece, has a solid red rubber recoil pad. Has an engraved gold inlay trigger guard, double stock bolts, noted gun smith Paul Jaeger. Has installed quick release side mount scope base as well as a Redfield fine adjustment receiver sight. Has a near mint bore and action. Has a hooded ramp front sight, rear sight removed, rifle remains in near new condition inside and out. Comes in the original cardboard box with matching end label by serial number with the addition of a period high quality scope making it absolutely big game rifle.
