Caliber is .45 a.c.p., barrel length is 5”. Frame of this pistol was manufactured in 1917. Has the Gilbert Stuart inspector mark on left a side of frame “1915-1918.” Frame is stamped United States Property. The slide is a sans seriff’s post 246,000 range slide. Has a replaced barrel post two million range. All other parts are proper WWI era. Checkered slide stock, safety, wide spur hammer, smooth trigger, smooth flat main spring housing with lanyard and diamond checkered walnut grips. Grips show wear, pistol now sports a dark matte military finish. Magazine is WWII replacement. Typical arsenal rebuild but not marked as such.
