Barrel length is 5”, caliber is .22 long rifle. This frame bears the inspector stamp of Guy Dewey (June 1942 - July 1945). Right side of frame has the ordinance department wheel (October 1942) and is stamped United States Property M-1911 A1 US Army. Frame is a blue brown patina mix with sharp legends. All proper WWII parts to include short checkered trigger. Checkered arched main spring with lanyard, checkered hammer sans spur, checkered slide stop and safety. It sports a pair of Keyes type brown plastic grips (not marked). The slide is a commercial Colt .22 conversion unit with adjustable sights along with matching barrel and magazine. Slide is also a mix of blue brown dull military type finish. Fine bore and action. The frame was manufactured in 1944.
