Smoothbore with a 44-3/4" barrel. Three barrel bands with two having the sling mounts. The barrel has an aged patina with a US and V proof marks and the Tulip tip ramrod. The barrel is stamped with the Eagle over an oval US, T. French, Canton (Massachusetts) and 1810. The hammer locks in both positions and works perfectly. There is no flint present. The stock has a nice evens smooth patina with a 8-1/2" long small surface crack between the trigger guard and the barrel band. There is also another small surface crack above the first. The letters A & L are nailed in the back of the stock in small brass nails. No visible cartouche on the stock. This musket is under the contract of 1808 of which 5000 were delivered by T. French.
