Barrel length is 4”, caliber is .38 percussion. This fine little Colt was manufactured in 1854. Features 4” octagon barrel with New York City address, five shot, single action, has a nearly perfect stage coach scene, all matching numbered include wedge, cylinder and loading lever. The brass trigger guard and back strap retain approx. 50% original silver platting, traces of case colors on lever. Frame has basically patterned out. Cylinder is a gun metal grey with near perfect scene, action is perfect, strong clean bore. Barrel has 30% to 40% original factory blue, razor sharp edges, strong legends on barrel and frame, one screw on left side is marred. Comes in a period wood box velvet lined, obviously not Colt. Accessories include original cardboard percussion cap container with excellent label. Has an additional copper percussion tin, an original brass Colt marked two cavity bullet mold and a nipple wrench that is not marked. Has an original brass and copper American eagle powder flask in excellent condition. Nice early outfit.
