A very rare and seldom found open touring car by Hubley Manuf. Of Lancaster, PA. Circa, 1930`s, this toy has the characteristics of an earlier automotive era. The driver, the same figure that was used in the Hubley Elgin Street Sweeper, almost seems to massive for this car but then again this was the same figure used in the larger version as well and that seems to be more in line esthetically. Enameled in a deep red it also seems incongruous that the figure is bright white…perhaps he was on his way to work driving the Good Humor truck? Regardless, this is a seldom seen important automotive toy in all original good to very good condition.
