8" barrel in .44 percussion caliber. This Colt 1860 Army single action revolver was manufactured in 1868. It is standard in all respects with blued barrel, blue rebated cylinder with naval scene, blue back strap, brass trigger guard, one piece walnut grips. This is a post-war civilian model not cut for shoulder stock. All metal surfaces (except the brass trigger guard) are a smooth chocolate brown patina. Partial cylinder scene is visible. Sharp legends. All matching numbers except wedge is not numbered. Grips are very good to excellent with much original finish. Traces of color on hammer. Action locks up, indexes perfectly, strong rifling with black powder abrasions. Clean, all original attic condition civilian Colt model 1860.
