20" barrel in .38-40 WCF. This standard carbine was manufactured in 1890. Features full round barrel, full magazine, twin barrel bands, post front sight, carbine ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud, and walnut stocks with carbine buttplate. All metal surfaces are a smooth brown patina. Loading gate still has some original blue. Original stocks are very good with usual dings but are still proud to metal having never been refinished. No cracks. Some one has carved left side of stock "August 12-'21" and right side "H.B. 1897". Fine action. Very good rifled bore. Handsome old untouched carbine.
