20" barrel in .401 Winchester caliber. This rifle was manufactured in the first year of production in 1910. Manufactured from 1910 to 1936 with a total production of 20,787. Features 20" full round barrel, detachable box magazine, under-barrel plunger, plain pistol grip walnut stock with the Winchester black composite buttplate, blued finish, and sporting sights. This rifle comes with one original .401 magazine. Barrel is a pleasing mix of blue starting to patina with razor sharp legends. Frame retains approximately 20% original factory blue with the balance patina. Stocks are very good, proud to metal, with some minor finish loss. There is a small hairline crack at wrist and an extra hole from a tang sight (not present). Perfect action. Strong, clean, shiny bore. This was the largest caliber semi-automatic rifle manufactured at the time. It became very popular with police units and prison guards.
