Pair of flintlocks, both are .69 caliber smoothbores with 8-5/8" two-stage barrels with soldered copper bands and silver inlaid lines along barrel. Cartouches at breeches. Locks marked: Marseilles. Both have heavily carved stocks with scrolled counter plates. Crudely cast trigger guards. No flints present. Both contained in what appears to be the original brown leather holster which is decorated with bullion wire and poly-chrome thread on strap. Old Butterfield and Butterfield tag present. Most likely a Napoleonic item. Showing wear and patina commensurate with age of pistols.
