An unusual cast iron “NO BLANKS” nickel drop pin field trade stimulator in fabulous original finish. This is the only known example with advertising, and in this case it advertises the clockwork Artie Cigar Cutter. Obviously this machine/trade stimulator was employed to promote the sale of the Artie cigar. By dropping a 5¢ piece in the machine you would be guaranteed at least one cigar and possibly 2 cigars! Certainly a surefire way to sell Artie cigars, as more than likely one was already in the shop contemplating the purchase of some brand of a cigar. In great original condition, a small brass padlock secures the cast rear coin box.
