Caliber .45 A.C.P., Barrel length 5". According to the book, this pistol falls into the 1969 serial number range that ends with the letter C. This example is from the scarce experimental B.B. series manufactured with the National Match style barrel bushing. The right side of frame is stamped "B.B.". These pistols saw a very limited production. Standard features include the high polished blue finish with the non glare finish on the top of the slide and the base of the frame. The top of the barrel bears the B.B. stamp, has the proper pre series 70 Colt plastic grips and pre series 70 slide markings. Pistol retains approximately 99% original factory finish, has the special barrel bushing. Someone has added a bit of red paint to the front sight,. Near mint bore and action. This pistol is housed in the original two piece Colt box with the original instructions. Beautiful near mint and rare one year production Colt. Investment condition sure to increase in value due to the very small one year production.
