This crate was used to ship Winchester take down .22 caliber sporting rifles. It is stenciled on end but you can no longer read which model was used. (ie 1890 or 1906). Original address is stenciled on the lid. Hinges are rusty and crate shows wear but still has nice stencils. First shipping crate we have seen for the Winchester .22 rifle.
