20" barrel in .22 WRF automatic caliber. This rifle was manufactured in 1909. Factory research was unavailable. This rifle features engraved presentation on left side of frame "Mallory Trophy - Ladies Gun Club - Bradford, Pennsylvania". The barrel, forend tip, and frame retain approximately 95% blue finish with some thinning on trigger guard and high edges of nose cap. The buttplate is a mix of blue-brown patina. Wood is proud to metal with lovely grain, checkered, and in near mint condition. Strong rifled bore. Fine action. Even the bolt retains most of its fire blue finish. Has original standard sporting sights. Shooters from as far as Texas and Oklahoma were regulars for the Bradford Gun Club's famous Green Corn events. Among the early highlights at the club was the annual match featuring Bradford's Mallory family vs. the famed DuPont family of Wilmington, Delaware.
