Here is a fantastic example of Steiff’s Koko Cat mascot which was made for the beloved and long-time German magazine “TV Hoeren & Sehen.” The cat is 28 cm tall, standing, and made from grey and white knitted fur that is detailed with black stripes. Her extra long, curly tail is quite eye-catching and made from white knitted fur. Her paw pads are tan, and her ears are lined in white. Her stunning face comes to life with oversized green and black eyes, a pink nose, black airbrushed mouth, and black whiskers. She comes with her original cardboard packaging stand, which bears both the Steiff and magazine’s logos. Koko retains all of her original IDs, including her special chest tag, button in ear, ear tag, and hang tag. This edition was produced in this size only in 1988 and is seldom if ever seen in this condition with her original display outside of Germany. Condition: As noted. In excellent, clean condition. Provenance: From the collection of long-time Steiff archivist Dick Franz.
