This rarity from down under is made from tan mohair. She is five ways jointed and has really intricate mohair hands and feet - with all her fingers and toes! Her arms and legs are jointed; she sits in the "lotus" position as if doing yoga! Koala's face is detailed with black and brown pupil eyes, a small black stitched mouth, and an inlaid grey felt nose. Koala was made in 12, 22, and 35 cm from 1955 though 1961 and is considered quite the rare bear in the Steiff collector's world - especially in the larger sizes. Her IDs have been lost to time. Condition: As noted. Very good, with a touch of playwear. Provenance: From the collection of long-time Steiff archivist Dick Franz.
