Sigi is begging and unjointed. He is made from dralon that has been gloriously hand airbrushed in browns, teals, pinks, yellows, and blues which have faded slightly over time. He is softly stuffed with foam. He has a curly tail, back fin, and two fin-style arms. His face is detailed with oversized green and black slit pupil eyes and a pronounced snout. This particular model was made in 20 and 28 cm from in 1959 only and is probably the rarest and most sought after Steiff rarity from that period. Sigi retains his button, named chest tag, and traces of his yellow ear tag. Condition: As noted. In clean, very good to excellent condition overall. Provenance: From the collection of long-time Steiff archivist Dick Franz.
STEIFFS INCREDIBLY RARE SIGI SEAHORSE.
