Produced In Partnership With Walt Disney. Steiff has produced a number of “Jungle Book” editions, starting in 1968 - just a few months after the movie debuted at the end of 1967. This lot of four includes some of the most beloved pieces that resulted from that partnership. The first is King Louie. He is 8-1/2” tall, unjointed, sitting, has dangling arms, and made from woven fur. He was produced in this size only from 1979-1982. The second is Bagheera. He is 10” tall, unjointed, sitting, and made from black woven fur. He was produced in this size only from 1979-1982. The third is Baby Hathi. He is 8” tall, unjointed, and made from grey dralon. He has a very sweet open, smiling mouth. He was produced in this size only from 1968-1976. And the fourth is Shere Khan. He is 14” tall, unjointed, sitting, and made from white and orange dralon. He was produced in this size only from 1968-1974. All four pieces are complete with all IDs, including their buttons, ear tags, and chest tags. Condition: As noted.
