Here we have a very charming Steiff moving display featuring 10 Steiff animals attempting to fix a car with a flat tire. The automaton base is made from wood. It features four rabbits (one which to this cataloger’s knowledge does not appear in the standard Steiff reference books), two pandas, a dog, a monkey, and two woolen miniature mice hiding in the car’s boot. One of these mice has some damage to its wool. When the display is plugged in, the team goes to work on the car. This dynamic display was produced around 1979 or so. The display also includes its original wooden shipping and storage box. Condition: As noted. In clean, very good to excellent condition overall.
