20" barrel in .38-40 WCF caliber. This fine, all original large bore Saddle Ring Carbine was manufactured in 1927. It is standard in all respects. Features 20" round barrel, full magazine, two barrel bands, blued finish, walnut stocks, and carbine steel buttplate. The rear sight is a Winchester sporting style that is dated 1927 and standard post front sight. Barrel, tube and sight retains approximately 98% original factory blue finish with razor sharp legends. Front barrel band retains 30% original blue. Rear barrel band retains traces of original blue. Both sides of the frame retain approximately 75-80% original factory blue. Bottom of frame and lever are gun metal grey from carry. Saddle ring was removed long ago, as there is barely a mark from its presence. Stud is still intact. Walnut stocks are excellent to near mint, proud to metal, with beautiful original finish and only a couple of minor impressions. Even the buttplate retains approximately 50% original factory blue mixed with patina. Action is as new. Bright, strong, shiny, near mint bore. Far above average 92 carbine in fine all original condition.
