.219 Zipper with a 26-1/4" barrel. Manufactured between 1942 and 1948. The Model 64 in caliber .219 Zipper was one of the more unusual lever actions manufactured by Winchester. This rifle was manufactured during or shortly after the war and remains in strong all original condition. Features a round barrel, hooded ramp front sight, half magazine, blue finish, walnut stock with rakish pistol grip and flute, checkered steel buttplate, and has the scarce patented bolt peep sight. It is a solid frame. Barrel retains approximately 85-90% original blue, just starting to thin at breech with light muzzle wear. Frame retains approximately 95% original blue with a few minor storage marks and a hint of minor edge wear. Nose cap and lever also retain approximately 95% blue. Original walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with most of their original finish, and only the usual minor impressions. Action is perfect. Strong, clean rifled bore. A very scarce and high condition .219 Zipper rifle.
