.348 WCF caliber with a 24" barrel. Manufactured 1951. Features include full round barrel, half magazine, ramp front sight, Lyman receiver sight, blue finish, pistol grip walnut stock with flutes, and checkered steel buttplate. This deluxe model also features finely checkered forend and pistol grip with Winchester logo grip cap and sling eyes in butt and forend. Barrel, tube, and forend retain virtually all of the factory blue finish. The frame, too, retains virtually all of the factory blue finish with just some minor high edge wear, even the lever retains virtually all of the factory blue finish. Wood is near mint and proud to metal. Fine bore and action. It is very obvious that this deluxe Model 71 saw very little, if any, use. It is rather unusual that it has the flat muzzle which is very late for this model. It would indicate the barrel was from an earlier production and was used on this gun when assembled.
