.348 WCF caliber with a 20" barrel. Manufactured 1947. Offered is an extremely rare, all original, high condition Winchester Model 71 deluxe lever action short rifle. Special features of the short rifle include the 20" barrel with the special shorter front sight ramp, finely checkered walnut stocks with Winchester logo pistol grip cap, and checkered steel buttplate. The rear sight slot is filled and this rifle sports a Lyman adjustable receiver peep sight. There is a hint of muzzle wear and magazine cap wear. Frame has two or three small storage spots, otherwise the rifle retains 98% or better of the original factory blue. Walnut stocks are near mint with no cracks or chips, only a couple of minor scuffs and storage marks. Action is perfect. Bore is near mint. Has the flat-cut crown. Extremely fine deluxe short rifle that has seen very little, if any, actual use.
