29.10" barrel in 6.5x55mm caliber. This rifle was basically a standard Model 1896 with a bolt that has been altered downward and fitted with a Model 41 AGA scope and mounts. Receiver bridge is dated 1899 and has the Carl Gustafs stamp. The mounts are stamped "14880", which matches the bolt sleeve and bolt. Floorplate is stamped "560", front barrel band is stamped "152, rear barrel band "261", and bolt release "944". No visible import stamps. Walnut stock has the brass ring on the right side. Scope is stamped "Ajack 4x90". Has a Model 55 rear sight and line and post optics that are perfect. Comes with leather scope cover and sling. Rifle is in excellent condition. Metal retains approximately 95% of the arsenal applied blue finish. Stocks are excellent with no cracks. Fine bore and action. Considered one of the most accurate sniper rifles ever manufactured, these rifles are very popular at the vintage matches at Camp Perry.
