.32 S&W long with a 4-1/4" barrel. Often referred to as the Model 1896, this revolver was manufactured from 1896 to 1903 and has the cylinder patent dates 1884 to 1895. This was the first model manufactured by Smith & Wesson with the swing-out cylinder, and thus is very important in the evolution of the Smith & Wesson double action revolver. Standard features include a factory nickel finish, six shot, double action, with period correct proper fitting pearl grips. Revolver remains in excellent all original condition, retaining approximately 75% original nickel overall, blending to a smooth gun metal grey and some light patina. Works perfectly both single and double action. Strong clean bore. Grips are near mint with no chips.
