26" barrel in .45-70 govt. One of the finest American Made replicas of the scarce U.S. Springfield Officer's Model trapdoor sporting rifle. Features blued full round barrel, engraved and case colored frame, block, sideplate, hammer, release, and trigger guard, with case colored long range tang sight and case colored and engraved U.S. stamped buttplate. This half stock sporter features oil finished walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and forend, pewter tip, and oak ramrod. Fine bore and action. Gun is in near new condition inside and out. All American made. Near exact replica except H&R did not put an 1873 rear sight as original. Block is stamped "U.S. Model 1873" and sideplate is stamped "U.S. Springfield" with eagle.
